Anyone going near Ocala maybe on their way to Disney must see this place. I went Saturday with a Mopar group and could not believe it. First the man. Don is 82 years old and missing 1/2 his foot from a clutch coming apart in the early 70s. He took our group on a private tour of his personal garage and walked and talked for 2 hours. He is the most amazing person I have ever met. After 2 hours with him and getting my hellcat fuse cover signed you walk through 2 buildings of drag cars from 1950 to present and 1 building of classic cars at your own speed.Anyone going down I75 near Ocala is crazy if they don't stop. No crowds, $20 and more cool stuff than I have ever seen in my 61 years.

Yep, stopped a few years ago. Great history. Also watch YouTube video of Don sharing his life story with a reporter. Goes thru his entire drag racing career in his own words.

I had the same experience at a cobra show about 5 years ago. The museum is cool but Don is a great guy. He spent a lot of time with us and told a bunch of stories. It was a great time.

This guy is 82 and I'm 61 and I have 50 pounds on him but I don't want to arm wrestle him. On the way there. I had a guy in a new mustang pull next to me doing 80 and fired down.Me being the dummy I am I fired back and at 150 he was far behind.I slowed down and when he caught up gave me a big thumbs up. I really don't think he knew what he jumped on.

I go to the "Mopars at Garlits'" show every year. I think it's the first weekend in Nov. Yes, Don is a great guy. I needed to make a new wiring harness for the factory AC on my '56 Chrysler. Don has Dwight Eisenhower's '56 Imperial in the museum and took me in to take pictures and make drawings under the hood. I found some "I like Ike" campaign buttons and took them to Don to display with the Imperial. Speak loud when you talk to Don, he is nearly deaf now.

Big Daddy, watch him run his Swap Rat many times at Dragway 42 West Salem, Ohio back in the early seventies, have his signed autograph on his top fuel Dragester. He was the top draw back in the day. Don got top fuel where it is today, he is the best. I have got go see his museum, everyone says it's awesome.
