So I picked up my hellcat today. Good news, the car is awesome and I got it for MSRP.
Bad news, after telling them four separate times not to drill the holes in the front bumper they did it anyway. They said their best tech did it by accident out of force of habit.
So they offered to have the body shop sand and fill it and try to match and blend the paint. (phantom black) they also said they would possibly order me new front bumper and paint it. But she said she would have to check with the GM on the bumper.
She (service manager) also said either fix may not match perfectly. I am not gonna mount plate on bumper. I am gonna mount it from underneath.
Not sure what to do. Should I have them fix it or just live with the holes?

Have them "try and fix it" (might look better than the 2 dimples that are there normally) and if it does not look good have them replace it

Personally, I'd tell them to put a new bumper on it and match the paint. If they fill it and that doesn't hold up long term, you may be able to tell it later. And if they can match the paint when they paint over the filled holes, why can't they match the new bumper to the car? I would think they can either match the paint or not. Obviously, whatever you decide you can live with is the best route. Good luck!

Thanks for reminding me to tell the dealership NOT to do this (although in your case it sounds like it didn't matter). I'm just curious on what your reaction was when you saw it. I'de be pissed and have to resist throwing things.

I would have them fix it and get rid of the 2 UGLY HUGE dimples in the front bumper.

Lol I was pretty pissed off. The salesman called me and told me what happened, so I had a chance to cool off and look at the big picture.
I did get it for msrp, and they apologized and tried to make it right.
I almost taped a note on the bumper when the car first came in saying not to drill bumper. Learn from my mistake. Good luck.

Have them try to fill the holes and see if you like it. It is all about you now. knowing that the holes were there. Congratulations on your car !! Enjoy it !!

I just sent an email to my dealer telling him to use his body as a human shield to keep anyone from drilling holes in my cat.

everyone knows not to drill any sporty cars front bumper.....ive told the dealers and everytime they tell me 'we know already not to do that'.....your dealership is an idiot for doing it after you said not to...now you have to accept a repair.......

    1. ask for a discount
    2. just get the holes filled in....see how it looks....may look better than the dimples there originally

I didn't even ask my dealer to not drill the holes and when I picked up my car, there was a hand written note saying, "customer requests to not drill and mount the front plate"

So their best tech did it, Id hate to see what kind of damage the worst tech could do... Or would you rather have the worst tech cause he would be too lazy to do anything on his own!
