I've browsed around and did not find confirmation or pictures of anyone that had successfully installed a driveshaft safety loop on the A8 cars, so here you go. This is the competition engineering safety loop which was purchased from Speedlogix. The description says its only fits through 2014 cars but I suspected that there was not going to be any major geometry changes between the previous years and the 2015s +. Fits like a glove.

Will it fit over the 1 piece DSS shaft?

It looks great, but I don't think it is going to hold-up the driveshaft. It looks like it's under the transmission tail-shaft in the pictures and it should back further.

Something is not right here. Is that the transmission crossmount it is attached to? Shouldn't the loop be out in the middle of the driveshaft?

I know High Horse Performance is in the process of having one made for the after market DS and it will be out soon. The guys are right about the fitment and is the reason one has to be mfg.
The aftermarket DS does not leave much clearance and is why HHP is having one mfg'd special for the 2015/2016 cars.

Metco is currently working on a Hellcat specific driveshaft safety loop and it should be out very soon.

For this specific product and design, it is in the right location. This is the same mounting location as all previous generation driveshaft loops. I agree that I would want it to be further back as well but I just don't think something like that has been made to date. I've been driving the LX platform since my 2006 Charger SRT and I've never seen a driveshaft loop that mounted anywhere but under the transmission cross member for the auto-trans cars, but maybe I'm wrong.

As far as fitment of the aftermarket driveshafts, I would only be guessing but the loop itself is maxed out on size. The outer edge takes up the whole driveshaft tunnel and has no where else to grow. The only way you could squeeze more space out of this is if the loop was thinner or designed in more of a tube shape to minimize the diameter of the hoop. My guess is the CF shaft should fit fine but the bigger aluminum ones might be very close.

Keep in mind the driveshaft safety loop is supposed to be towards the front of the driveshaft that way it can't "pole vault" the car if it breaks.

Thanks for the input. Somebody please make something that's NHRA approved, or at least capable of passing tech!

It seems HHP and Metco are both working on getting one developed and on the market.
I know we want one for safety, but I always felt safe on the track.i have no problem with safety rules .

Safety is the main reason for me to be willing to add weight to a car, unless, of course, the pounds make me faster!
I'm sure HHP will come through on this challenge, like all the others!
Thank you Linda, for being one of the Charger test vehicles.
Here's to better times this season.
