My dealer called to say that my Hellcat is in KZ and should be delivered within' the next 10 days. Pumped.

Any and all guidance on pick-up, what to expect (or ask) from the dealer, how many miles the car should have on the odometer, and whether any of the extended warranties seem worthwhile would be appreciated. Did anyone go with "invisible bra" / paint / interior protective coatings? It is my first Dodge, and I have not been through this process with FCA before.

    Thanks in advance.

i think mine had 5 miles on it

i have the expel clear bra and strongly advise it...i didnt do it at first on my gt500 and the tires made thousands of micro chips on the bottom of the doors in only 3,000 miles........so for the HC i put the clear bra on immediately...no chips...expect $1200 range...no need to do full hood...mine is 1/3rd and it barely shows

check the rims, paint, spoiler, look for dents, scratches, crooked exhaust......go through everything...think of it as a $25,000 car with a awesome engine.....dont think of it as a $70k car.....Dodge doesnt put any more effort into your car than it does a SXT......you should expect more, but dont expect Dodge to.......look it over and make sure its perfect...once you drive it off the lot you will have a tougher time getting the items fixed...best to find them on day 1....

    good luck!

For sure, be present when it gets there. Be involved in the PDI and even its first detail wash. This is a good way to get to know your cat....by giving it its first gentle bath. Also make sure the lug nuts are properly tightened. A few have said they weren't really tight from the factory. And for sure check out B5's check list. My dealer said PDI usually takes about 30 minutes. For some reason, I think mine will take a little longer...LOL

I did the PDI with the Tech at the dealer it had 5 miles on it. I was the only one who drove it for the inspection, but that is me a little crazy anal when it comes to my custom order cars. I know how some dealer techs drive the PDI cars. If you were the tech and you had to drive a Hellcat 10 miles ( is what the dealer said we had to put on it for the PDI ) how would drive it like a little old lady NOT you know you would have you foot into it. Take your time look it over I like the check list listed above congrats. Send us pics.

Check to make sure the power steering fluid is not over filled (when cool). Mine was over filled (from the factory) and fluid spilled out (somehow) under the black cap at operating temp making a small mess.

dont kid yourself. Your ganna take it unless they forget to put the tires on er and a steering wheel!
To hellcat with a PDI, give it a once over as it rolls off the truck and hand em a check... Then drive it, you'll work out any kinks yourself. It's got a warranty for a reason. I mean really, under what circumstances would you refuse it!? (You state "your dealer" so I'm assuming your not into a out of area/state purchase)

Do not let the dealership wash it. Must of the time they have teenage kids doing it and they don't know how to properly wash a car without putting swirls, minor scratches or something major scratches in the paint.

Like most of said be very involved in the PDI. Mine came in with 2 miles on it and I was with it from the time it came off the truck until the time I drove it home. I even got to drive it for the PDI.

I highly suggest the CQuartz Finest and Expel if you can afford both.

Good luck and enjoy the beast!!!!

Awesome suggestions all...thanks! I spoke with the dealer and they are happy to accommodate all of my requests (which was all of the above). Will let you know how it goes. I have a local guy who hand-washes nicely so I asked the dealer to skip the detail all together.
