I attended a dyno day for shits and giggles yesterday to see what my stock HC would put down. Overall I was pleased with the numbers and it seems my car is running just fine. The runs were done with fuse 36 pulled and in 6th gear. It was a bit unsettling seeing the car hit 200 mph on the dyno. I drove the car through the pulls which is kind of neat. I was the only Mopar there as this was a primarily GM focused event but lots of folks enjoyed seeing the car.

ABS fuse to avoid an issue with the car trying to lock the brakes during the dyno pull. I heard some folks had an issue with that even though they disabled stability control/traction control. I didn't want to have an issue so I yanked the fuse.

Thanks. It was all for fun and what I expected per the cars rating. I see those epic dyno pulls posted of stock cars but I don't get hung up on the numbers since every dyno reads different.

I believe the 625 range is very accurate, what other cars were there and their results?

Agreed. Most of the other cars there were modified so tough to say if their numbers were in line with expectations. I am waiting for the list to come out to see how everything stacked up. This dyno isn't known to be a heart breaker or to make hero pulls.

Cool... Looking at the dyno graph what a nice broad fairly flat torque curve... the odd part is there isn't much of a split in the final HP/Torque numbers. Makes you wonder if something was holding it back... with that torque number I would think the HP would more?

I thought the same and think it's the format of the graph being in MPH versus RPM.

Too dyno car of the day was a new 5.0 mustang with a F series Procharger. Thing laid down 906rwhp and sounded every bit of it.

It all comes down to calibration and why would I want to use a dyno factoring in wind resistance when I am only looking to see how the numbers compare to crank HP? Keep in mind any dyno is just producing a number. I could throw this on a Mustang dyno and show it puts down in the 5xxrwhp range. Fact is most people compare Dynojet numbers whether they are accurate or not. This wasn't a science experiment but intended for fun.

You are quite the serious individual. I wouldn't assume I am unaware of the various dynos, benefits and other aspects of this topic in general. For kicks, let's assume the drivetrain loss is about 15% from the engine to the tires. This would mean I'm right around the advertised and certified crank HP. I was less boasting about the numbers but rather sharing the video for fellow HC owners to enjoy. Again, I don't hung up on peak numbers but more so the shape of the graph and what it will do in the 1/4 mi.

And yes, I can appreciate the use of various types of dynos. For reference, my TA was tuned on a mustang dyno since it will load the car similarly to how it would be on the street.
