For those of you that converted to E85, any words of wisdom, with regard to the conversion? Are you satisfied with performance gain? I would imagine that drag radials are must, given the increased torque and hp!
    Thanks!

I know he's gotten great results, and I would like to do the same, but E85 is pretty rare here. Kum and Go is the only station that has it and only their new stations have it. I've contacted them, asking for more, but it is a very slow roll out. They are only putting it in their newest locations. Sucks for me. Maybe I need to buy a large tank, at my house, for personal use. My grandpa did that, not E85, just regular gas because they lived way out in the sticks. So they had their own gas pump. I'm thinking of doing the same thing....

We have several stations within a 20 mile radius. A longer road trip would take careful planning. I stopped at several stations that were listed as having E85, but in reality, did not. The performance benefits are worth a certain amount of hassle. However, I do not want to plan an entire road trip around availability.

I have been running E85 for about 10 years i have about 5 stations in 7 miles of my home. You can increase timing is were the biggest gain is, and the extra fuel that goes in cylinders keeps them cooler. I do change the oil more often (JUST ME) you can do a E85 and a 93 tune just make sure tank is almost empty

Thanks Dr. B for your input. My cat is scheduled to be built early next week. So, I am getting all my ducks in a row. I need to find a reputable tuner to do the conversion and tuning close to PA or NY.

I posted a question about what exactly was needed to make the E85 conversion, but it was just out of curiosity as I wouldn't make the changes anyway, so a moment later I just deleted the question.

If SRT had it together the car would have come from the factory to run on both Gas & E85

And have a sensor in the tank so the computer knows what fuel is in the tank. Like other manufactures.

My kids 2004 Neon SRT 4 has a button on the dash when you put 100+ octane fuel in the tank you push the button and it changes the timing curve & fuel curve.

They could have Easley done that for E85. And it would be an environmentally friendly Muscle CAR.
