    Well,

There is a hellcat hood, wheels, and badges...now if I could just get my hands on an engine I could probably just build one?

Find it rather odd that there is a parts shortage to build the cars, but there's enough to have them on ebay?

Who says there are parts shortages? And even if there are, they aren't these parts. Hoods and badges (even now the supercharged badges) have been available for a while. Wheels are probably take offs from an owner who swapped wheels. I haven't looked at any listings but this is what is usually the case...

If you start seeing Hellcat engines, Laguna leather seats, etc then it would be a different story.

I read that IHI was having a hard time keeping up with production and just read apost the other day that someone would have to remove their HK stereo to get beyond BX...I would think it was a part shortage, but my post also had a little humor mixed into it. Thanks for straightening me out.

The HK thing seems fishy to me. Mine got built with a HK no problem, and every Challenger comes with it as a standard option. I doubt that's the reason. Sounds like a dealer blowing smoke to me.

The one thing that I noticed is most of the wheels listed on FleaBay are 9" rims, not 9.5". The other parts are stock, but not the limited supply issues that originally occurred with builds. I haven't really heard that there are as many problems with those parts now. I am sure we are going to see a lot of Fauxcats out there soon! LOL:)

You are getting really close! Very exciting. Its really cool if you can be there when the truck drives up and you see your Hellbaby on the trailer. I was lucky enough to pass mine on the freeway and hauled butt catching up to it so I was there when it got unloaded! Amazing experience.

A parts shortage doesn't have to mean zero parts on hand. It can mean the assembly line can build X cars but they only have X-5 parts on hand. In that situation you have a shortage that means some cars can't get built. At one time or another they've experienced shortages of flat black hoods, Brass Monkey wheels, IHI superchargers, and the A8 transmission. With the exception of the hoods, none of those was a "zero on hand" issue but they all contributed to fewer cars getting built.

If you back and read my post I went to my dealer and we made the call together to guy in charge of the New England region and those were his words not the dealers... So my dealer was not blowing smoke I have dealt with this dealer for many years they are very straight forward and no bull, if there is any smoke it's from higher up.
