Is there a benefit in buying a new unlocked ECU and keeping stock one for warranty, etc? Would the dealer notice an ECU swap while in for service? If so how is it found? I understand we assume risk once we start to change parts but was just wondering.

    Thanks

You would think by now someone would have figured out how to do this. I believe they can still tell somehow.

Yes, they can tell but they have to look for it. It's not obvious unless you know where to look.

I'll bet they are probably instructed how to look for it on a Hell Cat.

I've read (on this forum) that there is a mileage indication in the ECU that would not be the same as in some other part of the car. I'd like to know what else would need to be changed in conjunction with the ECU to make sure that both match? This may or may not be legal as it could be considered fraud? Either way, I'd still like to know if anyone knows.

This is the main reason I ask. I agree that the dealer would probably notice a communication error between systems in the vehicle but Diablo advertises differently.

    Diablo is incorrect.
