Has anyone tried to do anything with the empty buttons on the steering wheel where the Adaptive Cruise Control button would go. Just wondering what the process would be to wire something to those buttons.

According to diagram, there are no unused circuits in the clockspring so whatever you plan on installing will need to work wirelessly or through the LIN bus.

I vote for a wireless button to deactivate the active exhaust! ;)

Could the ACC potentially be a dealer add on at some point?

They claim it wasn't possible without blocking cooling airflow. Probably will be an option on one of the future years though.

So I am hoping that I will be able to wire up maybe a wireless controller for a exhaust cutout or something. I think that could be pretty handy.

68146856AC is the complete right steering wheel mounted switch assembly, not just the missing switches. not sure if you'll be able to use the 3 buttons separately from the rest of the switch assembly.

I've posted on this before. Without programming in the PCM those buttons are useless. They are on a data bus and without the proper wheel harness, clockspring and PCM stuff they are useless.

In order to add steering wheel buttons in the past, it required adding sales codes and hard parts.

Just looking for the mechanicals. Might be able to create my own harness for lights, cut outs, etc...

I was looking for some pinouts on the weekend and came across the following link:
    http://www.fleetchrysler.ca/en/pdf/2015/PoliceUpfitterGuide.pdf

Page 15 shows the police package has ACC1, ACC2 and ACC3 buttons there.

It appears from the text you need an upfitter module to get the 12v outputs from these however.

The issue with the wheel is the way it connects. There is no way to route a wire since it's all on a bus as mentioned and the wheel has to turn all the way around.

I ended up installing some very high quality black metal two position (NC/NO) LED lighted button switches on each side of the underside of the column.
