Well, I had hoped I would never have to write a post like this. Ordered my car 2/11/15, received it 6/26/15. Drove it for 2.5 weeks. Did the break-in as specified. All seemed fine. On the way home from work on 7/15 I toyed with switching the mode from street to sport to see if I could feel a difference. Switching the mode was just a coincidence as to what happened next. Car acted a little funny. Not knowing the car that well I thought maybe I did something wrong. As I neared home, the car lost power steering. I was one block from home so I continued driving to get home. Felt like driving a truck. Stopped at the mail box then drove up to the garage. I shut the car off and restarted it thinking it would reset things. Still no power steering and now message came on saying extreme coolant temp. I pull car in garage and shut it off. First thing I think is the serpentine belt came off or broke. Get a flash light and check, nope both belts in place. Then I noticed where I stopped in front of garage there is a puddle of coolant on the ground. Also a trail of coolant all the way up the drive way. Can see drips under car but can't tell where coolant came from with the belly pan in place. I start the car again and walk around to the engine bay. WTF, the engine is running but neither belt is turning. I immediately shut it off. After letting it cool down some I started looking to see what could be wrong. The lower crank pulley seemed tweaked over to one side a bit. I used my phone to snap some pics of the front of the pulley being I can't see down there that well. Couldn't see anything wrong. Had the car towed to the dealer the next day using Chrysler number. The service manager knows me from having my '09 SRT in for service late last year. That car had a valve spring break and took out a piston and cylinder head. He couldn't believe his eyes when he seen engine running and no accessories turning. I'm not sure how much they took apart but when they called Chrysler about the car, they said it is the 3rd one they know of that this crank pulley failed on. The don't want dealer to repair. They want the old engine back for tear down to find out what went wrong. Possibly loose crank bolt, over torqued or bad threads in crank snout. I am waiting now for the new engine to arrive at the dealer. Hoping it will come next week. They said 10 days. Pretty discouraging having 2 SRT vehicles break down in only 9 months time. Not sure how I will feel about the car once I get it back. Will take some time thinking about what else can go wrong. I'll update once I get the car back.

Sorry brother. You are not the first member to have trepidation about what's next. Very unnerving. Let them do their thing and then make a decision.

When I installed a supercharger on my Suburban, the Edelbrock kit included a pin to stake the crank pulley. It was simple to drill and ream a hole with the provided collar. I am surprised on an engine making this much power FCA did not pin the crank pulley.

Damn, really sorry to hear... It's tough to have any faith in a brand when you have these kind of issues.

That's why they have a warranty.

Ugh not happy hearing about this I ordered my car end of February
Is there anyway to check to see if it's loose before it completely comes loose and blows up, as I've had a few items that I was surprised at how loose the bolts where when loosening them
I'm having my own issues with mine just need someone who owns a m6 hellcat to drive mine
    Ron
    GOODLUCK with it

What is you VIN or Build number? and Who is your Dealer and where is it located?
I like to keep track of these data so as to see if there is a trend, build sequence problems etc
    TIA
