I don't know if there has been a formal review but there are many on here that have posted their used both the Nitto & MT. The general census is the MT better at the track... Nitto's better on the street... I would bet you don't want to be on a wet road with either... but in those circumstances the Nitto's would have the edge.

The 555r Nitto isn't that bad in the rain if you drive accordingly. I have no experience with the NT05r or the Mickey's. But from what I gather from other people's posts is that the Mickey's are best for the track but scary in the rain. Nitto's are better for the street and not so scary in the rain.

Drove with Nittos all summer and as long as you are careful in the rain, they are fine. I used to turn the power down and drive like an old lady just to make certain, but as long as you show some reservation, they'll be fine.

I'm thinking of trying the NT05r for the street next summer in 315/35/20. Anyone have any experience with these on the street?

Think about...What width wheel? Will it work better than a 305 with a more skinny wheel than recommended?

Let me clarify. I was asking if anyone had experience with the NT05R tires as far as traction goes for the street. I do not run stock wheels and I have more than enough width for 315s and Nittos typically run narrow in their sizes than other tire brands.

I have the NT05R 315/35/20 and they work great on the street on launch and in corners. Worked good at the track too just need to heat the Nittos up a little more than the MTs

Thanks billet. I just ordered them and will run them next summer on the street. Only have about another week or so here and she goes nighty night for the winter.
