My 2016 HC Challenger(a8) is almost twice as loud as my 2015 HC Challenger(m6)!!

    Love that, but wonder why?

may be as simple as rpm ranges are tighter and therefore more exhaust note.. nothing to discuss really. there's no other real difference.

That's interesting PTC. Not sure why the exhaust would be louder.

It will always be more drone in an auto it stays in the rpm range of around 1200 to 1500 that the drone happens. With the 6speed you shift it out of those rpms. If you play with the paddle shifts try shifing in the rpm range when you had the 6speed and I bet you notice a little less. Also if you are driving around in custome mode and trans in sport or track mode it does not shift into 8 gear.

Lol. Yup so it keep in the 7 gear and will not let it shift to 8th. I do take it out of custom just for that reason only during longer stretches of open highway. Then when in the city double click the SRT button and back in loaded for fun lol

    Point of Order:
Hellcats don't have exhaust "noise". Better put is "exhaust note"

Track mode does open up the baffles. Ha, maybe the 2015 was a bad unit. Your new one has bigger lungs?

Mine goes into 8th gear in sport mode, don't know about track as I like the downshifts better in sport so it's always in sport
