Is or has anyone else experience the below "splatter" from the exhaust? The car is new and has 150 miles on it. It happens when I give the gas pedal a "whap" and the RPM maybe hits 3500-4000. Is this normal since it is new? Thank you. 20160522_152810.jpg 20160522_152820.jpg 20160522_152829.jpg

It is normal because it is programmed to run rich all the time. It isn't oil, just soot. Get used to it since it will keep doing it.

It happened to me twice. I found it happens during cool outside temperatures and high humidity when the car started to cool and moisture condensed inside the exhaust. I try to avoid restarting until the car is cold.

It's normal when the engine and exhaust pipes are cold... Once everything is warmed up, it won't happen. This is normal for all ICE cars..

Yup, exact same thing here, and I don't even have to blip the throttle...

The good news is that it comes up very easily with Spic and Span (and water at normal floor cleaning concentrations) even after having dried for a considerable time.

A good running car of any brand will do this. Its just condensation buildup being spit out taking a little soot with it. Its normal.

What a disgrace though. License plate frame, and dealer label, then tape the temp plate inside the window.

Well true. Just seems odd to have it taped in the window. Then again, I'm from Texas. :)
