The cost to do the entire car with xpel paint protection film is about $8000. Not that I would do the whole car but what's the scoop on protection film positive or negative?

doing the entire car in my opinion is a waste. It's about 2k to 3k i've been quoted where i live for the front end (NYC)

I won't do the whole car and the front is about 2.5k. Is it worth it or are there any potential problems like fading or peeling or damage to the paint its self?

XPEL is really good if its installed right. I have the whole front of the car done as well as leading edges of the car (mirrors, etc.) and behind wheels. I have done XPEL on 5 of my cars and have never had any issues with fading or messing up the paint in any way.

I have Xpel Ultimate on the front bumper, headlights and side mirrors. I considering doing the hood but I don't see the need. So far I'm really impressed with the product. Nothing really sticks to it and I don't have to be concerned with scratching the material since it self heals in the sun. I drive a lot of highway and my last car had a ton of stone chips but the rest of the car was perfect. For the new HC, I had the Xpel put on ASAP and very happy I did it. Cost was a little over $800. The hood would be another $800.

I am going with Sun tek on the whole car. I am also having it sprayed with C quarts mainly to protect all the hydro dipped parts I did. Also having wheels and interior done. Cost $5400, I got a estimate for xpel to cover same areas for $10,500! The sun tek guy just did a friends Z06 which looks great.

Did Suntek on the entire front end. Then CQuartz Finest over it and the rest of the car. Looks great. Totally invisible on a white car.

We used to have a Porsche 944 (1980's) with PPF on quarters behind each tire. It always seemed like a great idea to me, but I'm wondering why I don't see folks using it more for that (versus front ends) here. Would negate the need for cheaply made aftermarket mudflaps, for us Charger folks (you Challenger guys can buy from Mopar).

Yes but I bought it to drive and enjoy it, taking it on power tour this year which is a 2000 mile trip so will feel better knowing paint is protected from chips and the crazy love bugs they have here in the south.
