Extreme heat and extra cooling

    Just to test it out, I pulled the right side inboard headlamp center cap out. At highway speeds the engine temp dropped from 203 to 199. Just cruising around town. No noticeable difference.

    I removed mine just because it bugged me and I got tired of people asking if I knew I was missing a bulb. Never saw much difference in temps though. I will have to rig a plate or something because I dont want the side of the fuse box getting hit with water.

    On the way home from track yesterday 82 degrees and all temps gauges 1 were 185-188 nice and happy;)

    One of the things I would like to test some day is having the headers coated ceramic and or wrapped to see if indeed the engine bay would be cooler.

    HHP has them so does speedlogix, among others. It is the same stat as the 6.4 and 5.7 hemi, I do believe.

    right it the same part number as for a 5.7 or 6.4 hemi.
