Looking for advice from fellow Hellcat owners. I'm tempted to sell my charger hellcat and try to buy a 2016 challenger hellcat. Reason I chose charger 1st was because of availability of a sunroof. Can't have both unfortunately so should I trade to dealer or sell outright, and what do you think a fair price would be? I've got 1100 miles on her.
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Ask for what you paid. and sell outright. you have a very special car. Trade to dealer if he gives you sticker as he can sell for over.

Check KBB.com, the blue book value in your area will give you an idea of local value.

sell it for what you paid and unload it as quick as you can.....good luck

funny to buy a car just because of the sunroof.....i would have liked one too, but that had no effect on my buying choice...

get a trade price if you keep the 15 until the new one comes in
and compare to if you sell it out right and wait without a cat

remember the sales tax is less in most states if you trade

they may also fudge on any ADM with another hellcat trade

Sell it outright. The dealer will low ball you for sure. Just make to get what you paid for it minus taxes and tags of course.

I would think the dealer would go nuts over a Charger

Don't know what tax rate / laws apply where you live, but in Ontario, we pay sales tax on that part of purchase price over trade in value (as tax has already been paid on that).

    If I pay $70000 for a car and get $50000 trade in allowance, I pay 13% tax on $20000 = $2600
    total car cost $72600

If I sell my trade instead for $50000 ,
and use $50000 as down payment, I will pay tax of 13% of $70000 = $9100
    total car cost $79100

So here in Ontario, I need to get 13% higher price for a private sale than trade in value to break even.

Consider your state's tax rates when deciding

    I was lucky to buy @ MSRP...$71565.00 plus $299.00 ADM. and tax @ $5009.55 totaling $76873.55 OTD.

Kinda sucks to loose all the tax $$$ on a 6 month old car with 1100 miles on her. :(

Originally I ordered a Challenger with a sunroof , but they quickly pulled the option so that's why I went for the Charger. Love the car...maybe I should leave well enough alone?o_O

Are you assured of getting a 16???? I personally love both models. Of course it's your call, but from what I have seen you should at least be able to get your purchase price back, especially if you happen to be selling it in the northeast. These dealers are asking ridiculous numbers, and selling them too.

Haven't spoke with my dealer as of yet, but they have been successful with the 15's , I'll just have to make up my mind. I kinda doubt they would give me full msrp back on my 15 since they sell em at msrp???

If you were interested in a used Challenger you might be able to trade straight up. I had a Charger Hellcat that I was looking to sell because my B5 Challenger order got picked up. Two dealers offered to buy it. The highest offer was $67k. One asked why I was selling. He then offered the swap thinking I was going to be paying a ADM on the new Challenger. Their asking price on the Challenger was $72k and it had 3k miles. End of the day I sold it rather than swapping.
