Dealer called last night, my Challenger HC was damaged on the rail car. Only front fender received dents. The dealer is suggesting replacing it with the fender off my trade ( Jazz Blue 2015 SRT 392 ) Going to look at the cat around noon, any suggestions.

If there is no paint damage you could try this.

I'm my opinion, I'd say hell no to the fender off your 392.....tell them to fix it the right way

It's a transportation claim and has to be reported within 48 hours. It is a tough decision about getting the car fixed but it has to be done. I would insist on money off and some type of service contract for your loss. You also have to think about diminished value because it's now been an accident

Agree COMPLETELY with MABBRYFL30...someday you may flip that HC, for another one or something else, and that transportation fault will bite you the backside when you least need something to be an issue.

Your dealer is on drugs. Make them fix it correctly. And make them fix it BEFORE you sign the paperwork to accept the car. Plus everything else others have said already.

Paintless Dent removal would be great, if there is no paint damage and the technician can get to the area to work the damage. If its a candidate for PDR, have them try that first, before replacing any fender, repainting, etc. if it doesn't look perfect with PDR, then you can move on to other repairs and compensation for that.
Good luck, I hope it's nearly nothing!

The best thing for you to do is to keep your composure. You will get more out of them

Trade fenders are f@?# kidding ? Seriously they even said that is hard to believe. Depending on how bad it is you need a new fender or fix at the best repair shop of your choice and reduction in price.

Thanks to all for your input. I just got back from the dealer (130) miles away and the damage is from the tie down from the car above mine on the rail car. Three small dents and looks like a PDR job. I was not going to accept the car but the next allocation is not till May. The repair is going as a warranty claim and both Chrysler and the dealer have compensated me very generously. They will even flat deck my car to my home on L.O.T.W. near Kenora.

Very nice to hear they are taking care of you. PDR's have gotten really good over the years and I am sure your HC will look as good as new soon.

Had PDR done on my black 2500 Ram door and fender. Cant see the repair. If they can get to the back of the dent (i.e. Its not in a sealed/tubbed location), they can fix it. Amazing what these folks can do.

Sounds like they are doing the right thing. I'd take the deal, but be picky with the repair. FYI pre-title damage does not diminish car value.

This will never show up on a report of any kind. Only some insurance claims do. Not every incident.
