I fought with myself to decide rather I wanted to drill these holes in my car, but I'm glad I did. Holes are very tiny and I'm extremely satisfied with my mount. These are the absolute best magnets from Gun Magnets . They are extremely strong and have a unique pattern that protects the gun from scuffs. What do you think?

A couple of thoughts, and they are SECONDARY to functionality which in this case is everything, right?

If you're approached by someone at your driver's side window, how visible is the weapon to them? My question is not one from a legal perspective, but one from a discretion or tactics point of view.

Do you believe that the plastic will hold up over time with the weight of the weapon hanging on it?

While attached, can you get your hand around the grip BEFORE detaching it? (allowing for proper hand grip and control?)

Generally speaking, I like it and I applaud you for doing so!

(you do have a CCW or are LEO, right?)

Nice, but I just set my S&W M&P in the center console.

Completely out of site and very easy to access.

All valid questions. When approached at drivers side, you cannot see the weapon depending on your mounting location. It is completely covered up by my pant leg.

The plastic is strong enough, and the screws that come with it do not sag or give at all with repeated access of my weapon. The magnet is actually unique in helping this, if you flip the magnet one way, the magnet will stay, if you flip it the other way, it will release with the weapon.

My hands are kind of large and I cannot wrap a clenched fist around my weapon and hold it there, however, my brother and I have practiced scenarios of approach from drivers and passenger side and I can grab it right off the magnet with immediate proper grip and trigger control.

Thanks, it took me some thought, but I ultimately decided it was worth it and I love it!

I also keep another pistol in the console, which is what made me buy this. My brother and I were playing around one day and he ran up to my vehicle while I was texting on my phone and pretended he was going to rob me as if he couldn't brandish his weapon. There was absolutely no way I could lift up my center console to reach for my weapon so I was stuck. We laughed it off, but I got to thinking and bought this.

What are the possible concerns if you happen to get pulled over by police?

If your legal to carry, simply tell the police you have a weapon in the car and follow his instructions. They are for his/her and your safety. He might ask you to step out of the car so he can retrieve the weapon and ensure its neutralized for the duration of the stop. If there are no issues with ownership, hopefully you dont get a speeding ticket lol and you get your weapon back.

Exactly. Upfront 'communication' and 'cooperation' are your best friends here.
