I just called the dealer. And asked if there was a update/flash for the stereo? Had to give them the vin...looked it up. And yes one was available. She told me it was a update. Asked if it was gonna help the sound. Cause it flat out sounds like crap. They didnt know if will make it any better or not
Can any of you tell me what I can expect?

If I remember correctly there are 3 things
    1) there's a speed adjuster volume setting
    2) the update I think resolves charger HK for sure but not sure if the challenger needed one or had one.
    3) I would check your VIN against the uconnect update site and see if there is an update and go ahead and perform said update. Check here Uconnect® Software Update - Update your Uconnect® System
    Keep us posted?

Curious if the $2k upgrade for the Charger will be any better in 2016. It seemed that not many Charger buyers were pleased with it in 2015.

The update is not the security update that all Hellcats need, right?

I had the update in my Challenger and to me it felt like my radio sound got better. I didn't ask what the update was for since the tech had several updates he was doing for me.

It might be, do you have the update number? I will say that none of the updates has improved the volume of my speakers. The sound quality is still great, but the volume is ridiculously low. I am getting the ceramic brake pads and the catch can installed on Dante next, and then I am most likely going to replace my amp and see if that helps. I am tired of having the volume turned up to 30 just to hear anything from the stereo at all. I'd get the update done anyway ... it can't hurt.

I installed the Powerstop Z-23 pads last week and wiped down the wheels while I was at it. Make sure you follow the break-in instructions. The brakes don't make noise and stop great. Best part is that a week later, my wheels are still virtually dust free.

FYI, my Challenger was built in June 2015, My dealer used his scan tool or whatever that iPad looking thing is and told me I needed the radio update and then the new security update...He did not have time to do the update.

Just slightly off topic and kinda dumb finding. I had bad rattle out of my stereo mostly the rear. Here is the silly part...
I took a look at my sub box and found the big round tire hold down looking screw loose.
I tightened it down and was astounded at how much better the subs sounded. Just thought I would throw that out there.

I just got the new update and yes the volume and sound is totally different. Way louder and the bass about blows the trunk lid off.

Had my update done last week and there is definitely more sound up front and louder. It's still not where I think it should be but it is better.
