Many customers have been asking for us to make the floor jack stop to convert the floor jack to a jack stand.
I use 4 of the $59 Harbor Freight floor jacks to jack up my cars and use a simple JACKSTOP to lock the ram on all 4 floor jacks. It also fits on the handle when not in use. I have been using them for years now. JDJ_0972.JPG JDJ_0971.JPG

Might work in a pinch but imo, stands are much sturdier and won't roll away.

It would be very hard to role 4 floor jacks with a car on them, I have tried. With the weight on the floor jacks I can not role the car at all, not the jacks they are for. Now they are to be used on a level hard flat surface as jack stands are also.

can you please post or explain what points you use, i know you use the pinch welds in front with youre special adapters.. what about the back.. do you raise the front then the back or back then front?? also do you need a buddy to do it simultaneously or can you go around car and do little by little??

On the later Challengers you use the pinch weld in the front and the rubber bumpers that are built into the car.

JDJ_0994.JPG JDJ_0989.JPG Here is a look with a Z/28 up on the floor jacks with the stops used. There is no way to move the car when you place the jacks at a angle. JDJ_0989.JPG JDJ_0989.JPG

What a great idea. Nice coming up with that at a small cost.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not dissing your stuff and it's great that it's made in the USA. Great idea. It's the Harbor Freight jacks that worry me LOL. For raising your car they are fine. I don't care what you do to them. My ass isn't sliding under a car that is lifted by ANY jack. I don't care what you do to it.'

When I was a yoot I worked in a hydraulic shop. No way in hell I'm getting under anything lifted by a Jack even with a mechanical safety.

Just me..... Do what what works for you.

A fixed mechanical safety will work for me! Steel on steel makes me feel comfortable.
