So I was driving at around 8-10 km/h and I hit a pavement head on, now my front bumper, the FCW/ACC Sensor and Radiator (there was a lot of water leakage on the road along with some oil leak too) and maybe the front axle seems damaged.

Are all these parts replaceable by the dealer and if yes will the car be in a similar state to what it was when new or there will be that factor of factory fitted vs manually fitted?

The warning messages that come on when trying to start the car are like:
    - Check ABS Servicing
    - Check power steering
    - Lane Assist / Blindspot / FCW / ACC not funtioning
    - Check adaptive dampening suspension

The engine light comes on too and the car doesn't switch on.

I'm sure they will fix it all and you won't be able to tell the difference. Sorry for your accident

Ok cool, thanks for the info.

Quick question, are all these lane assist, front collision, blind spot etc linked to a single software setup and due to the impact all of them have stopped working.

All linked to the radar sensor and proximity sensors in the front of your car that you wiped out.

Well basically it goes like this. I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the roads these days are messed up, due to a lot of cars on the road and also due to the Train Network work they are doing since last year. So everyday I go through this same road on my way to the gym and yesterday was a similar day, but one thing was different. Now there is a roundabout which is normally blocked off by the police to contain traffic during peak hours but they open it after 6pm. By open it I mean they remove these plastic barriers which are moveable by anyone, to create space for one car to pass through at a time. Now what happened yesterday was that the barrier was moved, but this time it was the one from the far right hand side where the road is turning right and I had to go left to go left on the roundabout. What I failed to do is take a sharp left, and took a more wider left, thereby hitting the pavement infront of me which I had no view of. You can see the car and and the damage in the attached pictures. The speed was very low as I was just going from standstill to just about pressing the accelerator and the impact happened. Ouch!!! Is there a dealer or a rep you can go through there for the repairs?

Yes the car will get repaired through the authorised dealer in Saudi Arabia (United Motors). I hope it is not written off, all depends on how much the repair costs are and what the insurance company says.

Not sure how they operate over there, but judging by the crappy view from my phone, I can't see that being a right off. Good luck & hope all ends well.

Yeah I hope so too, its just factory v manual fix which worries me, you know how the car is manufactured by machines and now this will be repaired by a team of people (though fully trained by FCA). Write off is generally when the cost of the repair exceeds 50% of the value of the insured car, so in my case approximately. $29k. as value of the car is $58k.

That's awful sorry this has happened to you. I just got home from curb checking one of my rims due to an idiot almost side swiping my car and I jerked over to avoid from being hit and scrapped the curb bad. I was really upset until I saw your pictures. I'm not making fun but I do feel really lucky that the other car didn't hit me and I only need to replace one rim. Good luck with your car.
