What are people running for skinnies up front?

Right now I have weld s77 on the rear 17 x 9 with a M&H race master 275/50 drag radial.

Looking for a skinny up front. What fits?

Not a good selection, HHP has a wheel in 18" for the front that was made just for the hellcats.

    Hi,
I used front drag skinnies on my 70 Chevelle SS back in my drag days, but, the front breaks on the SS were not nearly as strong as our HC's breaks are. I wouldn't use less than about a 215 series tire on the front as trying to stop on an ultra skinny tire could be quite unstable and ineffective at 125-135 MPH IMO. Plus the HC is over 300 lbs heavier than the 70 SS. I would proceed with caution. Also check the recommended weight capacity of the tire and speed rating.

    Hey, atleast it is something.

Clearly I copied another person's rear set up. Just exploring options for the front.

I live in NJ and my local track operator says the NJSP are real sticklers when it comes to this car.

They might consider skinnies on the front a modification which means the car needs a cage. I'm waiting on their response.

Many are running skinnies (less than 5" wide) on Challengers, 300s and Chargers in the MSHS and other races....some are trapping at well over 145mph without issue...I run a 4.5" on my 2013 Challenger SRT stroker trapping 123mph and it is quite stable...

I too am interested in what is available for the HC...Weld lists a 7" wide wheel for the HC but I can't find a front runner tire that would work...I haven't tried but I assume the 17X5 rim I run on the 2013 wont fit the HC massive front brakes..

The skinny front wheel that HHP sells for the Hellcats are awesome. I have seen them in person.
