Had my hellcat challenger in at the local dodge dealer and after they did the latest updates my gauge lights will not turn off. The light in the gear shifter stays on as well. Anyone else had issues like this?

stays on forever or for up to a minute after key off?
if the latter, cluster back lighting and shifter lighting will remain on until communication bus goes into sleep mode, which can take up to a minute.

Most likely something keeping the bus awake. Possibly the UConnect radio. Best see your dealer.

I had an issue like this. I had a V1 radar detector add on called Savvy, that reads speed from the OBDII port and auto mutes the detector below a set speed. It kept the ECU running and cycled the shifter and gauges on constantly. Fixed now that I removed that.

CAN-IHS front star connector is located behind the driver's knee blocker.
CAN-C front star connector is located behind the glove box.
CAN-IHS and CAN-C rear star connectors are located in right front corner of trunk (under carpet).

    challenger shown. charger similar.

Last week I ended up with a dead battery. Thought maybe it was the 25 to 35 starts I had to do moving through the staging lanes between each drag race. Next morning the battery was down to 10.5 volts.

Used the battery charger & charged it. No more problems the rest of the week until last night after getting back from the track. Locked things up but spent some time in the garage this time & realized the gauge, center screen & shifter lights were NOT going out. Now that explains last week.

Tried everything I could think of to. Opened & closed doors. Turned down gauge light dials & other stuff. Nothing worked.

Finally had to disconnect the battery. Then It should down correctly.

My money is on the Tazer that caused it. However I've been using it all summer & never had any problems until last week. Also everything was shutting down while at the track waiting in the staging lanes.

My car did this for a day. Was the wierdest thing to come back to my car and hear the radio playing and see the head unit on as I walked across the parking lot. I was shopping for 30-45 minutes, radio must have been playing the entire time. It did it again at the next stop. From there started acting right...

Tazer will do this on very few cars.
