See, that is the difference. You're quoting fully loaded, I went of base SRT MSRP which is $66k. Which outs the MSRP of a "base" Hellcat in the $85k to $90k. Now sure a few thousand in options could be added to push it up towards $100k, but I'm not factoring in available options. Base to base comparison.

The Jeep SRT is one of FCA's most profitable vehicles, and has been for many many years. When the 2nd gen came out for the 2012 model year, the price increase from gen 1 was almost $20,000, and the price has continued to climb.

Maybe they were referring to the Gen 1's. I just remember them saying that they lost money on the, but that could have been the previous years. My bad :)

I traded my '15 HC in for a loaded Night Edition'16 SRT, simply as a placeholder for the Trackhawk that I'm hoping will be out next summer. I expect that it'll be north of 100k by the time it actually is released. I love my SRT, but going from 700+ HP to 475 HP is more than a little disappointing. Hopefully that problem will be resolved next year...

Jeeps have horrible resale value. Wait a year & save 20 K one a used one.

I've found that Jeeps actually keep their value much better than Dodge products.

Man, have to buy one for $100k.
Hard to put $20k in upgrades after a $100k purchase.

Well, I guess it ain't that hard once you start running those kind of numbers. Lol.

I could just imagine what could happen if you cranked up a track hawk to 1k. I know my hellcat is just ridiculous, if you can catch traction.

I don't think any used Trackhawk will be selling 20K less for a many years. Can't see the dime a dozen being able to purchase this and the dealers will know they have a rare vehicle and ain't going to give it away. There's no way the Trackhawk is following the Challenger Charger too many built model. This will be a 100K plus vehicle and probably more in the lines of 120K optioned out stupid and ADM. The average person ain't buying this and keep in mind when you start getting into those numbers your options expand. And the luxury car buyers may not be sold on a Jeep as a high end luxury vehicle. Weigh your options because I have for now. And I will weigh my options again when it comes out. And for the luxury brand it's more the image of luxury and not necessarily speed. I just picked up a Range Rover. And it's the V8 505HP SC and just incredible how 10 years ago this thing would have been over the top and all the HP hype. And now it's just good HP but not radical LOL. Crazy where we are in today's world of power and speed.
And as always I support my favorite brand and vehicle with the badge.

What's even crazier is the fact that this kind of HP is attainable by a simple "working man". Never would've thought I would actually own a car of this caliber.

I was just looking at a srt yesterday. if i want 1 i need to sell my 99 vette and ditch my suburban as well. wife has the charger hellcat and idk if i can let the vette go, i have had it since 2011 and the longest i have had a car. and with h/c/i and full exhaust it put down 440 at the wheels and 400 ftlbs of torque. its a blast to drive with 3.90s in it. my wife also told me i should wait for the trackhawk to come out and see if i would rather have that instead.
