With all of the problems that are "popping" up recently; radiator hoses popping, radiators splitting, antifreeze smell in the cabin, radiator hoses getting cut by the SC belt, DR snapping, paint flaws. I'm glad I'm not getting my cat for a couple more months! I would be soooo pissed off if I just got my cat and I have to take it back to the dealer for repair for stuff that shouldn't be happening but is for a brand new car. It reminds me back when I was scheduled to get my new first run Magnum and it was delayed. I was pissed because of the long delay but in the long run it was a blessing because I didn't have any of the problems that the cars that were built in the first part of the year did. So I'm hoping that getting the cat in the second half of the build year will have these problems fixed! Seriously I really hope they get this stuff taken care of soon! That and I have more time to pay off my taxes ; )

It's the price you pay for owning one of the first runs. It's not a guarantee your car will ever see a problem, and maybe yours will see every problem. Worrying about what may happen is unhealthy. Enjoy the moment and if something needs repairing, well, I guess that's what manufacturer warranties are for.

I know it is and I will. Just saying I feel better getting the cat later with all the recent problems.

Too bad they can't give you a hellcat loaner. Now that would be nice.

Agreed. If I wasn't willing to accept a couple flaws I wouldn't have tried to get a first run. That being said the things that are going wrong are a little scary.

owning a new model is always going to =issues

maybe they will switch some suppliers on yours and you will have new issues....it may never end

when your making a 707hp car for $65k you gotta expect issues....the car is a lot of car for the $

making the engine in Mexico isnt going to help matters either

By the time dealers get in Hellcats that I can buy, I'm hoping all these little first year kinks are worked out. It's expected with a first year release.

I know it's a first year thing. Think you're all missing the point of the thread. I've dealt with this before. So I'm just expressing my gratitude for it being built late. I feel I will have fewer problems. Now that is no guarantee but you know as well as I do that people are beating the piss out of these cars so if this is all that happens they are going to be bulletproof after the fixes.

They gave me a Dart GT last week. It was black, must be a slow one.

I agree, getting a little nervous with all these issues popping up.
Mine still 1-2 months away from being built, so starting to welcome the delay.
Part of me says, screw it, wait till next year, but there will always be issues I guess.
Not quite the same, but my first year 2011 392 never had one issue whatsoever, so first year models can still be dependable and have no problems.

Ahh ok I get what you're saying now, I think people were jumping to conclusions because there's kind of a lot of chicken littles posts lately by people who've apparently never owned a first run car before. Anyway yeah I agree with ya. I mean sure it'd have been nice to have one of the first ones but the silver lining is that the ones being built in the next month or two should have several fixes already incorporated into them. We're still going to see problems but likely less than the ones built in the first half of the year.
