Does anyone else find it impossible NOT to clean the engine compartment, door and trunk jams when they clean their cats?

When I get to the wheels, I think to myself, "Okay, I'm only going to do a quick wipe." But guess what? I end up cleaning meticulously every nook and cranny.

Anyone else crazy like this? :)

Engine compartment still like new at about 1,000 miles.

Actually I'm agonizing on whether to use the detail spray on the black hellcat. Will it scratch it? Oh the agony

Always wipe down under the hood and trunk after a wash. Then close the trunk, let it sit for a few and open it again. Water comes out again.
Each wheel gets washed three times. Wash, rinse, repeat, repeat. I found that after the first wash, much of the brake dust came off but some just got pushed around. So I said two would be better so I do three. Every so often I take em off completely to get a full job done. Plus I can get into the wheel wells better.

What do you use on the Supercharger? Do you spray anything on it?

Now that's going the extra mile!!! Use Iron-X on your wheels and it'll save you two extra washes:). Smells terrible but works amazing!

Well, I haven't had to mess with it, yet. I just wipe it down with a damp rag, right now. Ill have to wait for others to chime in on that one, for once it gets dirtier. I just try to stay on top of the engine bay and then I don't need to use anything harsh. Plus it doesn't get driven in rain so it doesn't get nasty under there.

The supercharger always has a little water on it from when I rinse the hood. All I do is just wipe it down using the water already on it as the only solvent.

I think the idea is to wipe down all the nooks and crannies each time you wash. This way, you'll stay on top of it and it should never get that dirty, especially if you're like me and only drive the cat on sunny days.

Yes, especially if you have bling under the hood. I mean, why put bling there and let it get all dirty.
