Hey guys. It has been a fun year going through the ordering process, excruciating wait for VON, then build then 2mo to be delivered. Since taking delivery 7mo ago, I've enjoyed every mile I've put on it but...my wife and I just put a contract down to build a new house and the responsible thing for me to do is to sell the cat. With a bigger mortgage and 4 kids, doesn't make since for me to keep a $70K toy. It isn't my daily driver but I drive it every chance I get so I've put 5,700 miles on it. Probably half have been on road trips and the rest all local. I've never tracked it or even done a burnout so it has been well cared for.

It is Granite with Sepia, A8 & Summer Tires. I had the windows tinted with high-quality tint, did XPEL clear bra protection and have the Weathertec mats. Original mats are still in the packaging. I also have the cats embroidered on the seats. Car is in stellar condition but have a couple of small scratches on the rear bumper that can be easily repaired and a scuff on one of the wheels that has been touched up. I also have the 7 Year / 60K Maxcare Premium extended warranty that is transferrable to the first subsequent owner.

Any advice on selling it? Autotrader.com or Ebay? What do you guys think I should price it at? Prices still vary widely online and with dealers. I was thinking if putting it out there for $69,995.

    Good luck with the sale!

Make an ad here and Autotrader. I've had good luck using Autotrader in the past.

Your car is a well optioned A8 and I'm sure there is a good demand for it. I'd sell it for what you paid and be open to offers. You don't want to try and sell it when snow hits the ground.

I'll play devil's advocate here.. With new 15's available at MSRP you may have a difficult time selling for $70k. It depends on your local market, but here I could've picked up several A8's at MSRP off of the lot.

I would spend a couple $ extra and sell on autotrader - upgrade to premium so it will be seen pretty quickly by potential buyers. You can also list for free at cargurus and cars dot com . At $69K, my thought is your A8 will sell very quickly. A dealer near me sold an A8 with 3K miles that was beat up pretty badly (splitter damage, obvious track wear, and a top speed which was not reset showing 150mph) for 74K in less than three days. From the pictures it appears that you took good care of your car, do not be ashamed to ask a bit more - see if you get any leads at $71. You can always go down.

Used? 2015? If you are using that price to give yourself some elbow room for the inevitable haggle... that's fine.

But I'm getting my 2016 with voucher for 63k. Same car without a voucher will MSRP at 68k, and there are dealers out there that will sell at MSRP.

If someone buys your car at 70k, more power to ya.

    Good luck. :)

I order the same car and color (2016 Granite Crystal, A8, NAV, Sepia, Summer Tires) for $68780. But again, If someone is in hurry, he might grab it since A8 is little hard to find right now.

One year new plus 10 approx miles /vs 5700 miles?

Again, If someone wants it, they would grab it. it's supply vs demand right now

I think you should price it just as you have above.

I agree... I've seen dealer asking for ADM plus 5700 mile is nothing plus he has kept it clean. Keep an eyes, how many offer you get and go from there.

I would price it to break even including taxes you have paid. I do not believe any 2016's have been made yet. I know you can place an order for a 2016 for xx dollars, but the proof is in delivery and nobody can say when one will come. I have not even seen a picture of a 2016 yet with the new front end. I say it sells in hours with that pricing.
