Was at the hand wash in Cedar Park, TX the other day.. Went outside to check on the cat and saw someone standing by my car.. The guy was an old gear head and loved the car.. I leaned more in 30 minutes from him about my car then the first two weeks of ownership..
He wouldn't stop raving on and on about how great my car was. Made me feel pretty good because he had just shared the fact that his wife had just ordered their new supercharged Cadillac!! ($102,000)
The gear head told me that I should do a tune, change the pulley, cut my resonators off and put in a straight pipe fill in..
    Any thoughts on his recommendations?

It depends if you want a warranty or not. If you don't, that will really make the car crazy fast.

Do not cut the resonators off you will get drone inside the cab. Its cool for a bit but gets old. You cant just get a tune for these things you have to swap out the ECU. Upper pulley is a good idea but will need the tune to go with. Add a catch can asap

Let the aftermarket catch the wave first.
Only a few are testing the Surf at this point.
I am sure in the next 12 months the Surfing will get better.

I am going to enjoy a long power train warranty. I agree with WT, let's watch this, as people are having great luck unlocking the engine secrets.

In the meantime; I will be adding suspension extras for racing. Just need a DS and a rear set of tires/wheels and if you have any drag racing experience with RWD you have a strong 10 second stocker for drag racing fun, then drive over to the road course and scare 'em.

Everyone who wants to competitively road race in time trials needs to be aware, we can't add HP if you want to compete in road racing because we currently are a good dyno pull away from ST1, or worse STU instead of ST2 class. We are bumping up against a HP limit in the ST2 class STOCK!

DGatzby I was just talking to the wife about the road course set up in different fro the dragstrip. I have the KW lowering kit that is the best on the market to lower these beast. You sound like you have experience in the road course circuit? I was told COTA has a 200 dollar entry fee and drive all day. To what level have you taken the road racing. I am looking at widening the read OE wheels. You have any leads on this?

Dragons, since it is a ways to Austin from MN, I don't have that info. Looked them up and their website lists some good looking opportunities. Wish I lived closer, I would like to run that course. I have a friend in Dallas who is getting a Porsche for this also, so I may have the opportunity soon, just not in a HC. Hope so!
