Took it out. And finally got 500 miles on the hc. Turned around headed back home so laid into it from bout a 10 mph roll. (had red key) buzzed it up to bout 6k in first second and third. There was zero differance the way it pulled then it did before it had 500 miles on it. So it was a let down
I had even shut it off and re started it after 500 miles and before the blast. Anyway. Rant off....

Hitting 500 miles doesn't magically make the car more powerful. The 500 mile recommendation is simply to make sure everything gets broken in correctly, especially the drivetrain, before you "lay into it".

Did you turn off traction control before you got on it? What were you expecting the Cat to do different after 500 miles?

The only thing hitting 500 miles DOES magically do, is enable your launch control. However, most of us here on the forum have found we get better times without it.

For the OP, go out and find a big empty parking lot.. Put the car in track mode, and enjoy...btw, please do your 10 mph roll and hammer... May want to bring extra cloths...

You clearly aren't doing something right. Although they were bad-ass, the Hellcat blows away the old hemi motors, both in terms of raw power and drive-ability.

I was told the motor will only put 500hp till it gets 500 miles on it. From dealer and other post I read. And that the full 700 hp does not unlock till then. We have been driving using red key sence day bought it. So black key was not a factor in it

Dealer flat out didn't know jack... The car isn't limited to 500 hp for the first 500 miles. If you've been using the red key from day 1, then you've been using 707 since day 1
