Flew to RothRock Chrysler in Allentown, PA last night and picked up my Hellcat this AM. I'm in NC, 500 mile trip home. I didn't want them to detail the car, hence it being so dirty. Having CQuartz done this weekend. Transaction went smooth, got in and out in an hour. Had the cruise set driving home. I look up and get pulled over. Soon after, another cop car right behind him. I'm in Virginia, I know I wasn't speeding and assume there is a registration issue with the car. Nope, my radar detector, which isn't plugged in, but is visible. The officer was nice, we talked about the car and he wrote me a 50 dollar ticket haha. The other officer came up, was very nice, he just wanted to look over the car. I imagine everyone on the side of the road thought I was getting busted for racing or excessive speeding haha.

    My thoughts on the car:

    1) I need to spend an hour with the owners book and figure out all the screens and settings.

    2) The HK radio does suck. For a 2k upgrade, my 2012 Town and Country has a better sound system in it. Still has a crackle at times while playing. This was caught during a QC check prior to shipping and was supposedly fixed/rewired. Not enough for me to create an issue over, but disappointing that this sound system has no balls to it whatsoever.

    3) Disappointed that the aluminum parts on front of motor aren't coated, leading to corrosion already.

    4) 70k and no sill plates?

    5) I was given 2 red key's, a black key was not sent with the car.

    6) Overall I like the car. Need to get the seat right for me, was a bit sore after driving 500 miles home. Getting windows tinted next week. Need to get with a dealer in the area and see what recalls and updates have/haven't been done to the car at this point.

I have the low dust brake pads. Will find out what sill plates are available, if any, grab some of those. Not 100% sure what else is really available, need to poke around on the site more. Surprised my dad with the car, he loves it. Can't wait to let him drive it some!

Thanks guys. The weather stinks the next two days, so likely won't drive it. That gives me some time to figure out things I might need to order for it haha. I've had twin turbo vipers in the past, interesting feeling the difference between them. I have to admit, this is more fun. The TT vipers needed A LOT of space to open up, which didn't make them that fun outside of that specific case. I was surprised how on demand the power was at various speeds. Good thing I got the bumper to bumper lifetime warranty

My feeling is just the opposite,,I have mentioned before,, that my twin turbo cobra felt faster then my hellcat,,, but the cobra was a six speed, and had DRs,, so besides the six speed,I will throw some DRs and see what happens

Congratulations !!! It looks NICE !!!! And the cops in VA are super tough. That is why I do not even bother on getting a radar detector. Enjoy and welcome to the owners club !!!

Well there is no doubt that vipers were faster. I could run 8's on a 20" Nitto Invo tire in my GTS and the 05 SRT vert when 8.50's. Twin 76mm turbo's didn't allow me to have fun in short distances. I never ran DR's on my vipers, also Nitto Invo's. When I did pinks, I had it set at 12lbs of boost (could go to 35) and ran 9.80's at 145 leaving at 1500rpm for 1.80 60' times (was hoping they picked 9.50-9.99 class so I could launch harder and win easily haha). But this is more fun, in a practical sense.
