Hey guys...on one level I'm super happy to have a Hellcat at MSRP and now a VIN. SRT said that my car will be built the week of August 10. That being said, I was also told there is still time to make changes. Is this true? Reason I ask is I really want to add red seat belts and the sunroof if it becomes available next week. I don't see why if there's 2 months to it's assembled a sunroof can't be added. Is it because the assembly line won't be tooled and ready for it in August even if you order it in June?

For the amount of money I'm paying I just want to get the car exactly how I want it. Which seems impossible for some reason. Really frustrating when I should be jumping for joy. Thoughts?

Some have been able to change in VIN/D, but once it goes D1, you're locked in. Be cautious with the sunroof thing. There have been several delays. Even though this option is slated to be available starting 6/29, there may be a backlog or further delays. All changes in D must go through your FCA rep as dealer does not have ability to change orders/do mods on their own. A few folks have gone from D back to C. Tread very very lightly....good luck.

The game may have changed since I ordered and received mine but I made changes twice after reaching D1. First I removed the black hood after the car was D1. Car went back to D then again to D1. Second I removed Laguna Leather due to supplier issues, same story. The dealer had to have the FCA rep make the changes. Good luck.

My dealer received daily updates from FCA on which items were restricted and FCA was telling dealers to let customers know and giving them the ability to change their orders accordingly. Most of these changes would occur in VON though. Once someone goes D1, all parts and options are allocated and the car is ready for build.Don't think they would schedule it for a build if all components weren't available.. Generally though, try really hard not to mess with it...especially now:D
