Went out to our local track and killed 3 birds with one stone...
    1) Ran my quickest et- 11.16 @124 MPH (68.4F, 43% hum, 27.31 Bar, Corrected altitude= 3986')
    2) Got a wicked picture of my burnout
    3) got kicked off the track- LOL!
I entered no box class and before I made it to the ET booth, the track director was there and said I can't run competition anymore (no roll bar). Why couldn't Dodge make a slower car like the Camaro and the mustang- hahahaha!!!!

Thought the new hnra rules were if the car is not modded you don't need a bar if its slower than 9.99 or maybe 10.99

    Did this change?

NHRA DRAGS: STREET LEGAL STYLE PRESENTED BY AAA (Page xiv) (5th paragraph)
Additionally Requirements and specifications for Street Legal are the same as those for the Summit Racing Series with the following exception: Unaltered 2008 OEM model year and newer production cars running slower than 9.99 and 135 mph do not have to meet the requirements and specifications for the Summit Racing Series except for the following: Convertibles and T-tops must meet Summit Racing Series Roll Bar and Roll Cage requirements, All drivers must meet the Summit Racing Series Helmet and Protective Clothing requirements.”

Just finished having a conversation with Mike Baker (IHRA) and Pat Cvengros (NHRA) on this. In a nutshell (Without the legal writing in the rules book)- For Competition, if you run faster than 11.50 you need a rollbar. Street legals is not considered competition so rules are lax. They are aware that some tracks occasionally look the other way but if you show up at a track and they let you run- have fun, if they say you need a bar- your screwed.

I think this is the rules your looking for BigHit:
ROLL BAR Roll bar mandatory in all cars (including T-tops) running 11.00 (*7.00) to 11.49 (*7.35), in convertibles running 11.00 (*7.00) to 13.49 (*8.25), and in all dune-buggy-type vehicles running 12.00 (*7.50) seconds and slower. Permitted in all cars. See General Regulations 4:10, 10:6

Go out of town tonight and run a 1/4 pass on the srt pages. Do 1 with 707 hp and tell me the time. Then drop it down to 500 hp and see how it goes. Maybe you'll be right there at thar 11.5 range dead on every time. Im curious as to what the difference is as im thinking about buying an A8. Id greatly appreciate it
