Have Soundgarden all the way up to 38 max volume with iPod connection in the aux input and I'm having a conversation with my passenger without us raising our voices.

It's hard to believe, but true.

Try loading some songs on a USB key and playing it from that.

Not an ideal solution I know, but it blows me out that way. In absence of any other fix, I am just using a USB key only.

You can go into settings & turn the Aux output level up.

The BT vs Serial Aux battle the HK deck has upon power-up is a tad frustrating. Granted, I'd love to have the high volume out of the BT connection, but it just isn't happening, so I'm relegated to the routine of unplugging, replugging the Aux cable. A necessary evil, sure, but the alternative is headphones.

Try using it with blue tooth. Sounds so much better.

Call me crazy, but I liked the 2010 SRTs radio with a built in HD you could load the songs on. I remember when I got my Shelby home and realized it didn't have one like our Jeeps, and then I learned the 2014+ Jeeps (now other models) didn't have it anymore either.

you could swap the 08-14 HDD's on challengers, it was a task moving over the OS but you could pop in an SSD and have really fast load/boot times haha

I'd love to be able to fiddle with a 8.4 but wont **** with my own till i have a spare unit

Yes the HK system is a dissapointment ,by far the worst factory system we have experienced in an SRT. Thankfully the car makes such nice sounds it doesn't matter lol

i find it miles ahead of the high end one in my 2011 SRT....it almost sounded like AM it was so bad

the HK radio isnt very impressive either.....no where near as good as my 13 gt500's kicker 1000 watt

i almost think there was something wrong with mine in my 2011....maybe it had no antenna.....glad its gone
