Hi everyone, I'm doing my first racing event with my Challenger Hellcat on May 31st. Its the Wannagofast event in Clayton, Georgia where I will be racing 1/2 mile down an airplane runway. The company putting the race together says they may have 100 octane racing fuel at the event that I could use. The question from me is, should I do this, or will it cause problems or not matter? I'm new to racing, so I don't know much about how this would help.

100 octane can reduce knock if there is any.

You'll be fine with 100. If it were me I'd do a 1 to 1 mix.

beat me to the no AV or lead. I would 1/4 to 1/2 tank and fill it up, you probably won't notice it unless you are really into it.

Make SURE it's unleaded or you'll kill your 02 sensors very quickly. I put 100 octane "unleaded" in my Pontiac G8 back in the day and it must of not been completely unleaded. It destroyed my 02 sensors.

Without a tune I'd stay far far away from it. Pump gas will get you down the runway just as fast, if not faster, and you don't have to worry about dieseling.

If your car is not pinging, I would stay with 93 Octane. Mine runs like a bat out of hell on 93 Octane.

The car won't ping/knock. It has knock sensors in the engine so if there is detonation the ECU will just pull timing. By running a higher octane the car would potentially make more power IF the conditions were such that he'd normally experience pinging on 93 octane.

    No.

"Normally" more octane = less hp unless the engine is tuned for it or the engine has had time to adjust for the higher octane.

And as said above, stay away from AV gas or anything with the slightest bit of lead in it.
