Just wondering if anyone else has been told you cannot make any changes on your order even if you don't have a VIN assigned? I have been telling people you can make some changes prior to the VIN being assigned and just found out that the Area Managers get to make that decision and you cannot make changes. Has anyone incurred this and been able to get the changes made? If so, who did you contact or any recommendations?

    Thanks

I was able to change my color in September for 2016 in D1-status.

Heck no!!!!! My baby is in the garage as we speak. I helped a friend order one and have been told can't make any color changes and just placed the order. No VIN assigned. Said it was Area Rep decision and couldn't do anything about it. It sucks because it was my fault, I put the order in and thought I had the right color and I was wrong.:(

See, that is what I always thought too and now I am getting this crap. I am frustrated because I cannot figure out how to go over the Area Rep's head to change it. The order was only placed 6 days ago. No VIN.

As far as I know that my dealer made the call to regional mgr and they sent the request to someone in Detroit. It was changed within 3-4 business days without any issue.

If you are not in D1 you can change subject to availability of the option.

Sounds like u need some leverage : tell them you're moving order to different allocation /dealer if they can't accept your change (assuming that is viable ). Good luck.

I called my dealer here in Washington and he is going to see if he can help me. He said that isn't how it works in our area and you can change until D1. I don't even have the VON assigned yet so, it can definitely be changed, just need to be aggressive.
