20150429_195139.jpg So, I recently got some drag radials (toyo r888) and finally got a spare moment to try them out on some back roads. I only had time to make 2 passes (was in the evening a few days ago and everyone was driving around) . On damp, dirty texas back roads I managed a 11.5 and an 11.3 quarter mile with crappy 4.2 and 4.1 0-60 mph times. No launch control (still haven't had the time to try it out yet!!).

I will be honest, I'm not great at launching yet. I spin the tires too much or bog. I haven't gotten the perfect launch yet managing throttle and clutch but I can feel what I'm aiming for. I have only have a few chances (2 or 3 drives with a few passes each) to practice and I get better every time. I have no doubt I will get this car running 10s when I finally have the time and place to sit and practice!

    Watch out A8 owners!!! :)

118.... slow but I know my 0 to 60 times suck and it's 100% me not the car. Hellcat m6 will launch awesome I can feel it... it's just me not feathering throttle and clutch well enough. I expect to be running 3.6. 0-60 no problems with prepped surface and heated tires and learning to launch.

It's only going to get faster. It's going to be awesome!!!

Also I was not shifting as hard as I can. I was slightly more cautious to not miss a gear and I was NOT powershifting which I can do very well very fast. I can't wait to practice launching!!!!

My 0-60 was 4.3 and my quarter was 12.4 but my mph was 121 mph. That was at the track. Poor Da though. Surprised your 0-60 was what it was but your mph was low

I am very excited that you were able to get those numbers. There is a lot of potential on our M6's. I will get the DR's in a few weeks and start practicing as well. Congrats !!

I am not trying to be a pessimist but I don't know how accurate the cars timers are. I will be the first to say though that's the fastest I have heard for a six speed. Get to a track and see what you get there. I really wish I could make a few more passes at the track but they are always so packed. These cars seem to be tough to find the sweet spot for launching.

yea anyone with track experience able to compare what your in car timers have in relation to the track timers? I think Johnny said his in car was like 0.2 seconds slow on the 0-60 in another thread.

Regardless...that is awesome Jeko!!!! way to go.

JeKo You mentioned some of your uncool friends (ie...those with cars other than a hellcat lol) rented a drag strip for a day. Could you look into doing that for hellcat folk (or give me info so I can look into it, what track, etc etc). I think a learning hellcat track day would be great like we discussed.

Buddyg recently indicated his timer was one or two tenths off, but it was to the s-l-o-w side!

All of the reports on car timers v track timers is that the car timer seems to round up/is slower. I have the STOCK front tires on the car.

No other gauges appear to be off ... I really don't think that's the case.

I know I probably can't do 160 ms haha... but I can shift fast. Once I get the launches down I can't wait to see what I can do on a prepped track with the cat. I haven't gotten around to schedule a drag day because I never got a good number on how many people would go.... but I'm ready to call and just set one up ..
