Omega Motorsport sponsored a 1/2 mile event at Gila Bend Municipal Airport this weekend. Had the opportunity to run a new Hellcat. Best times for both cars were 155mph that day. Lot of fun, guy was very cool. (I think he works for Airaid).

Nice! Brings back memories of my srt-4. What are your mods? I'm assuming you are around 450whp?

EDIT: Nevermind I just saw the video description on YouTube. My guess was close at least. Lol

I doubt it. My srt-4 was just under 450whp and ran 11.8@123 in the 1/4. It would give 6 speed hellcats a run for there money. OP has posted on the video description that he's around 460-470whp. SRT-4's pull hard up top, turbo's will do that, that's why highway runs were so popular. I would pull on low 11 high 10 second cars on the freeway frequently. Problem was getting traction in a light FWD car. After you get past that point, a lot of cars need to watch out for a modded SRT-4 not just stock hellcats.

Power to weight is an amazing thing. Factor in a 460whp Neon at 3200lbs with 2 people, vs 650ish whp Hellcat at 4900lbs with 2 people. They're pretty comparable. There was a stock 5th gen Viper and a stock C7Z at the event. I wish i had run them. I heard they were hitting around 155mph as well.

Did you already post this on the Neon site? They'll probably enjoy it a little more over there.

Power to Weight is all that matters.

Wow, so the stock Hellcat was trapping 155mph? That's very good!

Here's the same neon srt4 against a modded 2013 GT500. This was posted in another thread.
