Any thoughts on your break in procedure?

I always follow the recommended procedure how ever I know a couple guys who say break them in as you would drive them. I personally think its a bad idea.

Anything special you are going to do with your break in or part of your break in???

Already broke in at the factory everything should be seated nicely and ready to roll.Just take it easy for the first 500-1000 miles or so ..Then unleash HELL!
Manual cars diff story that clutch is gonna be a bugger don't speed shift and all will be cool.

Spin it up to 7000 rpm and hold it there till it runs out of gas.

After another full tank of gas, stand in it and mesh the brakes at
170 mph, repeat till the brakes are burnished and glowing red hot.

    Drive it normal after that.

The engine is not the issue,, its the other drive line parts, trans, rear end,, I'm going to follow the guidelines,, as I don't want issues when it comes out of warranty

Drive it like you stole it, just take it easy on the brakes & bed those in properly.

You are right by following the recommended procedure. And some people think they know a trick or two that the builders don't. My thoughts on that are this. After years of building engines I am sure the manufactures have heard it all and tried it all. So I think they know best. It is their Legacy so why would they steer someone in the wrong direction?

Does toggling between transmission modes reset the tcm adaptives?
