I'm seeing many members mentioning the build number for their Hellcat Challenger. But when I call Dodge they consistently tell me that there is no way to tell what number of production your Hellcat has since there were Vipers and I think one other car being manufactured on the same line at the same time as the Hellcat.
Does anyone have a good answer for this? I picked up my Hellcat on December 9th, 2014 and my Vin# ends in FH716031.
    Thanks
    Rich

There are 3 cars built in Brampton 300 Charger and Challenger. The VIN's are all of Chrysler I believe.
If you ask RS nicely in the Breaking News thread he will be able to tell you.

BIG RICH , did they actually tell you your hellcat is built at the viper plant ? Your car is built in Brampton, Ontario Canada where we build the Charger , Challenger and 300 models. As we build all these cars mixed up on the same line so we don't build cars with sequential vins.

My Hellcat was built at the Brampton plant. But Dodge tells me the Viper was build on the same assembly line. Either way - is there a way to tell what your build number is ?? Thanks

Yes still are built at C.A.A.P same place the Prowler was built. I was there in November with the Viper club it is small but they can make 9 cars a day, down to 3 cars and taking days off due to lack of sales. It had a complete make over for the Gen 5 Viper. I hope Viper lives on.

The Prowler was different it was a cool car, I see a couple of them around town. They did not build many of them.

Sounds like it's easier to get a Prowler than a Hellcat LOL

More units than a Viper per year, Vipers year avg is 1,500 units a year and 2009 and 2010 less than 1,000 each year this is why Viper is in trouble and then Dodge over priced the Gen 5 to go after other car make owners and it did not work. Ralph saved the Viper, I hope it stays around it is a awesome car.
