I've seen a few guys on here who have deleted the mid mufflers and kept the resonators. I'm toying with the idea of doing the same. any issues with the active exhaust valves??? any codes being thrown with this mod? I've also heard a sound clip posted by currybob, sounds great but tough to tell from internet sound clips. whats your overall opinion for those who have done it? Does it sound sloppy or is it a nice crisp sound as if it remained stock but just louder? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I did the resonator delete, quick simple mod, gave it just a "little" bit more sound. No issues with valves, codes etc.

It was just enough for my trip up to Vegas lol. I'm still gonig to change to a catback at some point. But yes, for $100 it was just enough of a difference. I actually met up with a Hellcat owner in Vegas, he heard my car after we had lunch and basically went over to his shop and had it done lol. I honestly haven't heard in person the difference between muffler or reso deletes, i just wanted to do a quick/dirty mod for a tad more sound. Wasn't overbearing or anything, if you're looking for just that "little" but extra, its a nice mod. My guy even cut the flange part of the resonators so i could reinstall the factory tips.

My friend with a scatpack just did the muffler delete on his 2016 cat and it sounds awesome. I'm thinking of doing the same to my hellcat and looking for honest feedback. Good or bad idea?

I cut out my suitcase muffler on my 06 r/t and it sounded great. It wasn't over bearing but added a deep rumble that car didn't have. I know it's a very different car but based on that experience I'm removing it on my hell cat and if I don't like it it's only another 75 to put back on.

I was looking at a few, always liked the sound of Magnaflow, the Gthaus or however its spelt sounded badass but expensiveeeeeee. So idunno, just been thinking about it. And no real reason other then sound. Yes the stock exhaust sound really good, and no i am not "trying to get more HP", if i do it, its purely just for sound. I have always liked the sound and quality of Magnaflow, so maybe there's. The Gthaus one is sweet, but their titanium one is like $5k. Which would be awseome, just $$$$$$$$$$$$

When I bought my Cat I traded in an '11 Mercedes C63. Although the sound of the Cat is nice, the sound of the C63 was intoxicating. I'd love to try to do something to replicate that sound especially during cold start when the "crackle" was really sharp. I can see myself going through a lot cash on different exhaust configurations to duplicate that sound. lol

I just did this on Sat. Best $120 mod I spent. It's the only mod other than the 5% tint, lol.

    Sounds amazing.

I agree. By far best mod ever on my charger. Cheap and makes the car sound amazing! Make sure to do the muffler not the resonator. You want to keep the res because it keeps the drone out of the cab of the car.
Way louder on cold start. Noticeably louder on normal idle but the beast really comes to life while you are cruising around and especially when you get on it other people's cars that are nearby melt in fear lol

what are you removing there? I thought the mid mufflers on a challenger hellcat are full size mufflers?
