I think the challenger will out sell charger, only because the challenger looks like a true muscle car, don't miss understand me the charger looks and sounds great it just comes down to the four doors v 2 doors what do you think?

there is 2 of the same thread, maybe a mod can combine them but this is my question in the other thread:

what are you asking? Are you asking what is going to sell more or what do I like more? I like the Challenger b/c of how retro it looks, but I believe the Charger will outsell it. 4 door practicality over looks will be the deciding factor and I believe I read that the Charger outsells the Challenger year after year so I assume the same trend will continue

    2009 - 25,852
    2010 - 36,791
    2011 - 39,534
    2012 - 43,119
    2013 - 51,462
    2014 - 42,516 (through 10 months)

    Charger US Sales
    2008 - 97,367
    2009 - 60,651
    2010 - 75,397
    2011 - 70,089
    2012 - 82,592
    2013 - 98,336
    2014 - 79,108 (through 10 months)

Chargers have been blowing the doors off the Challenger in terms of overall sales. I'd be curious if someone was able to find hemi numbers as many of those Charger sales might be for rental cars which is often the low end package. My charger SXT was a rental before I got it (needed the 4th door for my 2 year old son)...he's 6 now and can climb over the seats to get into the back so we be getting a Challenger lol.

Ahhhh! Here is a fun twist for you. I think the Challenger Hellcat will outsell the Charger Hellcat, however I think the Charger will outsell the Challenger overall...nevermind I just saw Zebugs post. At least I was right in my head before I saw it...kudos to me!!! Anyway, I think the Hellcat is about muscle and kicka$$ery so that ties in with the sporty muscle car which is Chally. Don't get me wrong, the Charger is bada$$ in its own right but it is still a sedan. If you need to haul more than 1 friend or family member often, the Charger makes sense. I am just not sure as many mom's are gonna go for the Charger, definitely the dads will and the few HP crazed women like me that might still have kids to haul around. It will be fun to see how it goes.

I think the hellcat charger will outsell the challenger, based on the fact that will pull in buyers from existing performance 5 door cars like BMW, Audi etc. that like the idea of owning the worlds fastest sedan, and to a point some people require more practicality e.g. grandma won't get in the back of a challenger at aged 85. Dealers I've spoken to are also anticipating higher demand for the charger. Whilst we may love the Challenger the practicality of the charger will win a lot of people over, and the fact it does just over the magic 200 will be an added selling point.

I disagree...time and stats will tell, just my opinion. But for this halo car, the ultimate U.S. performance mark, I think more will opt for the Challenger, because they want a muscle car, a 2 door coupe. Those that NEED a family car, won't opt for a Hellcat Charger, they will pick something cheaper...and those that won't pick something cheaper will pick something more expensive than a Charger, like a Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes SUV, BMW X-series, etc. And of course there will be those few percent that will choose the Hellcat Charger because they can afford it and it makes sense to them....but that won't be the majority of Hellcat purchases...

That's just my prediction...we will see a year from now....
