is it possible it was on the dyno before you got it?
or maybe while on a lift with the tires off the ground

Several threads on this. The car is put on rollers at the factory and ran up to high speed. My car shows 191mph...

The breakin procedure is not really for the engine..it is for the drive train....particularly the differential...the 6.2 is run at a high rpm for something like 2 hours before it gets installed in the car....the rollers do not give the resistance you would have on the road so not a strain on parts..

Pretty sure they don't put the car on rollers. You're thinking of the 42 minute engine dyno done before it's installed in the car. The 199mph top speed thing is electronic. Both my Hellcats said 191 brand new.

No...dyno and roller run are two separate things...the dyno is done at a 3rd party shop and the rollers at the factory...at least this is what was said in the other dozen threads about this....The foreman of my dealer's shop said they got a notice from Chrysler to erase the top speed reading as part of the PDI because of all the calls Chrysler was getting..

You sure about a third party dyno shop? The Salsito Chrysler plant in ole Mexico has quite the synopsis facility. I doubt an outside source could have that many dynos?

I read somewhere about the 3rd party shop doing the dynos. I think it is the same place that assembles the Viper engine...not sure though..

A few posts above is correct, The break-in isn't for your engine. It's for the drive-train. A-lot of hellcats delivered read near max speeds which could have been them rev'd freely in the air. Personally mine was at like 70mph so it was either reset or wasn't tested like the ones that have 199mph etc.
