So...seriously thinking of getting a Charger Hellcat. However, it would definately be my DD. Is that crazy talk? Is it comfortable enough to do so? Also, I occasionally drive down to Chicago. What's the range of the Charger Hellcat on a normal interstate? Do you have to fill the tank with gas every hour?

Might not want my opinion. DD Challenger here. Not crazy at all in my opinion.
You can drive it as sedately as you want. But you have a beast waiting if you feel the need.
Yes fuel is a bit more. Budget and drive it is all I can say. If I'm driving like a normal car maybe a tank a week or so. If I'm playing about 2 tanks a week...
I average 21 - 23 on calm highway trips. 14-16 during boring week commutes. 11-12 making my daily commuting fun.
The price of this DD is lower mileage, how low is up to you.

Even in rush hour traffic (at least the auto) is surprisingly comfy, and I'm a big guy.. 6'4"..

Doesn't mean you won't have the occasional Neon roll up and hang half his body out of the car telling you how "that's the most f'in amazing car he's even f'n seen" almost taking out everyone near you.. ;)

That's good to know. I wasn't concerned about how much guess necessarily (I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee now so its around $60 every stop). I was more concerned with how far I can go - i.e. can I make it 300-400 miles in the Hellcat without stoping on the interstate?

Honestly I'm debating between the Hellcat and the Audi S6. Know that he latter has less power, but still speedy and wondering if it would be more comfortable as a DD. Since I can't really get my hands on Hellcat until I order I'm trying to decide best I can off the internet.

Sorry misunderstood then, I usually get about 255 - 260 miles to a tank on gross average. Highway only driving adds almost another 100.

S6 is a good looking car as well. Different class than the HC. You'd probably be happy in either but have more fun in the HC.
    IMHO

Thanks. I think I'm getting convinced. Is the ride comfortable enough in the "Street" mode or does if feel like riding in a shopping cart? Not expecting the ride of a 1980 Ford Crown Victoria - just wondering how much adjustment the settings actually make to the set-up.

Street in my challenger is real nice. Not as soft as my 95 Impala but close. No Cadillac but nice.
Even the wife approves and says the street mode is very much worth the upgrade from the RT.
I'd offer you a ride if you were in the SC area :)

Sport is a little harsh, track is a PIA on the streets never use it.
I ride in street 90% of the time. Sport when I'm playing

You can say that again about track mode. It will knock your teeth out if you hit a big enough bump. I drive mine daily when I am in town in street mode and it's just fine.

Just gave my 2008 Charger SRT to my youngest, after I tuned it down of course, gave my 2006 300 SRT to my oldest a few years ago and my 2010 Jeep SRT to my middle boy as well (he's a Jeep guy), they love these cars.

The Charger, Challenger, and 300 are outstanding daily drivers and highway cruisers.

    You won't regret it.

Just got back from SRT exp, one of the questions I had for THE DRIVERS, was their preference. They all race/drive in Street mode. All agreed it gave them a better feel for the car.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, track suspension was only put on the car for when you have a busty babe in the passenger seat. Try it and thank me later
