okay, I admit I love the Dodge Demon. I probably had the nicest one in the country in the 1980's. It was a 1971 balanced and blueprinted 340, built reverse valve body 3500 stall, narrowed 3.91 rear end, painted with imron two tone blue, with gold plated demon emblems. I could fit really wide tires in the rear, and the thing was quick. Most big blocks had no chance. It was special, and I paid $2900 for it in show condition. I was 18. I bought it from a guy who worked for Mopar. To this day the best car I have ever owned.

I think this would be the perfect next Hellcat muscle car. The Demon would be lighter, and it would become the king HC. Please Dodge, build a HC Demon. B5 blue would be cherry.

Who would jump to buy one? I would pay $20k over MSRP for it.

so by a demon you mean a relabeled dart?

dont think a 6.2sc fits in a dart and a dart is a FWD isnt it

they should invent a new car to compete with the Challenger thats smaller/lighter, but still has an engine bay to handle the HC engine......doesnt sound possible...would be front heavy and wouldnt handle well....weight distribution 70% front 30% rear

i like the demon also.....dont doubt it could happen as a name....but not with a HC engine....i put the chances as -100%

They would definitely have to invent a new Demon, and not use the Dart. Even if the goal was to take a few hundred pounds off, it would be awesome.

Don't get me wrong. The Challenger is awesome. I just want a Demon. I would even settle for a non HC if it was quick enough.

what would your demon look like?

it wasnt really a stylish car....it was their bottom model with a cool name and some graphics

do you want a retro demon? or a modern demon?.....Retro is pretty much dead now....the Challenger is it..that fad ended 3-5 years ago....Dodge is the last hanger on'r

it would be the Dart in 2015

SRT Dart is scheduled for 3rd quarter 2016, however, don't expect a hellcat under the hood (it plus the transmission won't fit). More than likely a turbocharged 2.4L will be the power plant mated to the ZF 9-speed transmission; AWD at that.

    You'll also see a SRT Journey late 2016/early 2017.

RS also mentioned Challenger Hellcat T/A projected. More than likely weight reduction and aero improvements package.

I would expect to see the Cuda rebirthed as the Challenger replacement in 2018.

The question will be; do they keep the Charger name for the new chassis or call it something else then.

That is a really nice looking Demon. But mine didn't look stock. I had a six pack scoop, rectangular headlights, chrome grill, lowered, etc. The rear looked a bit more like this, although not quite this wide. It would have been an awesome template for a retro Demon. I don't have pictures, which is a shame.

Btw, I would love to be able to put rubber like that on the HC.

Retro all the way. That is what I really like about the Challenger.

Now a Cuda I could get behind. But no way a Dart. But just sticking to the Dodge label, Charger, Challenger, Super Bee and Demon would be the options. And a really good retro Demon would open my wallet.

Oh they were stylish, but not in pure stock form. Take a look at the rear of that Demon I just posted. That looks 10 times better than the rear of either HC. Demons were really sexy when you did them right.

Hehe, too early to tell, however, an easy addition in the aftermarket.
