OK, in "D", in sport mode, letting the car shift itself, leave hard from a stop or roll in first gear, the engine may cut out as the trans does not shift out into second in time....the engine falls flat on its face for a half second then comes on full. In track mode this never happens. No matter how fast the engine tachs up with the tires spinning, the trans always gets the shift done before red line. My Challenger is a December build and does not have the updated trans software. Trying to find out if the trans flash will correct the sport mode problem.... is anyone out there having this same issue??

Well since us that have the flash done don't have that problem, logic says go have the flash done.

Because like his car and mine, we found a way to not have to deal with this issue..track mode fixed the problem

That would explain why some of the cars at SRT experience did this. Hmm.

Is this really a problem? I think what you are experiencing is the car accelerates to the fuel cutoff rpm very quickly. In addition, you ever notice how the automatics kinda sound like stick shifts to some people? This is modern torque management. I notice the new z06 does the same thing. The engine backs off just slightly for a split second to ease the slam into the next gear. Makes an auto sound like a manual to some.

In my vid here where I beat the Nismo GTR someone commented about it being a manual trans. Its an auto.
