Someone local was trying to tell me that the Hellcat engines were having some overheating issues. However, I have not found anything to substantiate that. Anyone else hearing this (or anything else for that matter besides keeping a set of rear tires on them)?

Nope, not true, no news or media coverage plus they suppose to ship in the next week or two. Also they can't be overheating if over 100 pre production cars have been rolled out and tested already

I haven't heard anything about that... I have heard issues with the back window blowing out,, and burning the cats up, that's why they detuned it..That's it..

No issue to foresee since SRT engineers did rigorous testing already

What happened in portland was, SRT removed the lower grill to let more air in to the heat exchanger on all of the test cars. During prolonged beating it didnt overheat but did gain in AITemps so they removed them just to keep it down some.
On the street you never know it and never drive that hard either. Just on a road course one may want to get the added cooling by removing that lower grill.

Do you think heat soak will be a problem at the strip?

No. They tested them in the desert and stated there was no performance degradation after 20 minutes of continuous hard use.
A sub-11 second pass shouldn't phase these Cats at all.
