I know the PCM hasn't been cracked yet, but once it is, how do you guys think it will respond to modification? I'm not too familiar with Mopar, this would be my first Dodge or Chrysler product ever. I know my 2014 Shelby responds insanely well to an intake, throttle body and tune. Just with those 3 basic mods, they pick up about 90 RWHP and 3-4mph at the strip. Do you think the Hellcat will respond similarly to those mods? What do you think pulleys will add? You get about 10-12rwhp per pound of boost with the Shelby. Lastly, what do you think long tubes will do for this car? On the Shelby they're good for about 25rwhp. On my Pontiac G8, I picked up about 40rwhp from long tubes and full exhaust, but the factory exhaust was quite restrictive, I don't know how restrictive it is not Hellcat, but I assume not as restrictive at the G8 GT's.

    Check out this video.

This car has an Intake, throttle body, 10% lower pulley, cat delete with the rest of the exhaust stock, and 20 inch drag radials on factory rims and he's running mid 10's at 137mph. Do you think with similar mods, the Hellcats will be trapping that high?

I know there's no sure way to know yet until the computer is cracked, but makes for good conversation :D

I thought they said the supercharger was already at max rpm the way it's set up pulley wise during the tech talk with the engineer at the Portland launch. They'll probably have to work on the bypass tune wise to change the boost numbers.

That's interesting, can you give details? You have link or anything to where that was said? I would imagine the 2.4 liter supercharger on the Hellcat at 11.6 psi would have A LOT more left in it, much more so than the new Z06 blower and even the 2.3 TVS blower on the Shelby, which is already running 14psi stock. Shelby guys have been bumping up their boost to about 18-19 pounds max on pump gas and some even higher on E85 and race fuel with the stock blower.

Isn't there a video of an HC in Texas running a 10.48 on DR and VP109? Same track where the white HC ran 11.2 on street tires.

Yes, but that video is very suspicious. Without a tune, no way this car is gonna be running that fast, trapping 133mph with only the addition of VP109. I have no doubt the ET of 10.5 is certainly gonna be possible, in fact probably easy with minor bolt ons. I'm just curious about the trap speed mostly, if this car will be able to trap that high (137-138 mph) with only bolt ons and tuning.

Too early on to speculate on mods. We are just getting DR on cars to the track. Very few of those have been able to go sub 11. Come on back this summer. We will know a lot more then.

I'm checking back all the time to get the latest. Unfortunately, everything seems to be paused at the moment because the whole country is covered in snow

It's spinning at 14,600 rpm. I thought he mentioned the specs for the supercharger on this vid, but he doesn't. His name is Chris Cowland so you can start your search from there or search for the IHI specs

I would imagine you can spin it more than that. The ZL1 guys spin there little 1.9 blowers higher than that without issue. I'm currently trying to find out what a stock 2.3 TVS spins at on the Shelby at factory boost.

One of the rotors is at 20,000 rpm. Search.
