im hearing some chatter out of auburn hills about a hellcat GTX. It's suppose to be all wheel drive and more hp than our hellcats. Anyone else hear anything about this??

Hmmm really... I like the concept but I doubt it. Last I knew the Trackhawk was being delayed due to driveline dependability issues... so I suspect an AWD Chally Cat would be that much more challenging to pull off. I was on Allpar the other night and didn't see anything on it other than the GT version that is on display at SEMA. Allpar seems to get the news on early rumors. If true though... the GTX designation is perfect for the car "Grand Touring Xtreme" With only a couple years left of this platform IMO it seems unlikely.

There is an AWD Challenger in development (some say it might be a Euro export only), but no rumors surfacing about it having a Hellcat motor. I doubt they are trying to do that with the JGC Trackhawk on the way so soon.

That is very cool... thanks for sharing! Gotta love the B5 blue... in the picture they look like a pretty close match. I thought the original B5 was slightly darker. How do they compare in person?

The Hellcat is B5, but my GTX is actually B3 from the early 90s. They look closer in pics than they do in person..

It's just the angle of the pic.. the Challenger is actually MUCH bigger than the GTX.. If you can imagine that.

I have a 69 Superbee... and I would agree they are closer in length than the picture shows... but the Bee is longer and even with the 440-6 in the ole Bee... is a lot lighter! ;)

Here is another pic side by side with my old Hellcat... trust me when I say the Challenger is a tank compared to an old B body.. the GTX is about 6 inches longer.. but is smaller in every other way...including 800lbs lighter!!! I would love a Hellcat engine in the GTX someday!! 20150126_114003.jpg
