Just feel like venting a little. Don't take it personal. So I've owned Shelby's, Corvettes and most recent Cts v coupe that I traded in for a 2016 challenger hellcat A8, white with the matte black hood and Laguna leather. I traded in the CTS V and actually only lost $2200 after owning it for about 16 months. I purchased my hellcat at MSRP as this was back in March and they weren't offering any good discounts.
So I get a call today from a buddy of mine who is the GM at the Chrysler dealership where I bought my car and he said..hey buddy we have 4 hellcats in stock and just to let you, Chrysler is allowing Chrysler employee discount on all hellcats starting Tuesday if you know anyone in the market. I'm like WTF??? This has to be the worst investment car wise that I've ever had. My car with every option but a moonroof with 1900 miles is worth 57,000 on trade. That's the highest number that I got and that was from the dealership that I purchased it from. I was thinking about trading it in before the prices fell even more, and placing an order in on a hellcat jeep is soon as they came out.
I'm just really shocked at these cars dropped as fast as they did. A good friend of mine's has the same car as mine but gray with 1100 miles on it and he can't sell it on eBay for 59,000.
Never thought that I would lose $14-$15,000 in five months on a car.
Rant over.
