Autoweek Magazine just posted an article from 3 journalists which just love the car. But the observed fuel mileage is stating 13MPG. Is this an accurate MPG?

    Here is the Autoweek posting:

I daily drive and commute to work in good weather and yes 13 MPG seems about right. At least in daily driving conditions and with an a-hole behind the wheel with a lead foot.

12 if I drive aggressive, 13 driving normal and about 16 on the highway but, really who cares? Who buys a Hellcat for gas mileage?

13 if your goosing it all the time. 16 if part time. Average about 17-18. Recent Mojave desert trip around 150 mi. One way, average speed 80-85 mph,I got 21.7 mpg.

Ya pretty close. I drove mine from Wisconsin to LA, about 2600 miles and averaged Almost 21. I didn't use Eco mode at all. Now that I'm back in LA and drive it everyday in craptastic traffic and only live about 5 miles away from work (about a 30 min drive) I have an average of 12.8 using Eco mode... And of course my occasional rifts...

M6=16 MPG average. Pulls 20s on hwy if you can keep foot out of it.

Shelby by comparison gets 16 MPG average but won't pull anywhere near 20 on Highway.

I have an A8 and I get 11.5 as an average** (I reset at every fillup, a habit from motorcycle riding).

If you're on a road trip and are on the highway for a LONG time, you can do pretty well. My last road trip got me 24mpg after I spent a long enough time on cruise control at cruising speed.

Note: I drive like an asshole

Mine averaged 11 - 13 mpg in the city (daily driving) and 20's on the hwy.

Daily Driver with 18,200+ miles; comute is 30 miles one way (parkway with lights)

Combined mileage runs around 18.7 mpg

Best highway mileage across a full tank (non-ECO mode) on trip 25.9 mpg cruising at 75 mph with a few spirited runs to break up the trip

    out for white knuckling fun...YMMV

I've never reset my mileage. It reflects all daily driving and every trip to the track. 14.5 MPG
